Mrs. Frider Chimimba – Board Chairperson
Mrs. Frider Chimimba is the current Board Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority.
Mr. Chance Munthali – Vice Board Chairperson
Mr. Chance Munthali is the current Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA), Chairperson of the Pharmacy Sub-Committee and a member of the Finance and Administration (F & A) Sub-Committee of the Board.
Dr. Enock Ludzu – Member
Dr. Enock Ludzu is a member of the current Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA). He’s also the current Chairperson of the Clinical Trial Review Sub-Committee of the Board. The Clinical Trial Review Committee is established in accordance with Section 17 of the PMRA Act, No. 9 of 2019 as a Sub-Committee of the Medicines Committee to, among other functions, advise the Authority on matters related to authorization and monitoring of clinical trials.
Mr. John Mhango – Member
Mr. John Mhango is a member of the current Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) and Chairperson of the Medicines Safety and Quality Monitoring Technical Committee of the Board. The Medicines Safety and Quality Monitoring Technical Committee is established in line with Section 17 of the PMRA Act, No. 9 of 2019 to advise the Authority on matters relating to medicine safety.
Mr. William Mpute – Member
Mr. William Mpute is a member of the current Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA). He’s a qualified pharmacist and the current President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Malawi (PHASOM). He’s also Chairperson of the Medicines Sub-Committee of the PMRA Board. The Medicines Committee is established in line with Section 17 of the PMRA Act, No. 9 of 2019 to, among others, advise the Board on matters relating to medicines.
Dr. Marvin Phonera – Member
Dr. Marvin Phonera is member of the current Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA), Chairperson of the Allied Substances Sub-Committee and member of the Medicines Sub-Committee of the Board.
Ms. Mary Kamtimaleka Chinkhadze – Member
Mrs. Mary Chinkhadze Kamtimaleka is member of the current Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) and Chairperson of the Finance and Administration Committee of the Board.
Mrs. Flossy Lombola – Member
Mrs. Flossy Lombola is member of the current Board of Directors of the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) and also a member of the Allied Substances Sub-Committee of the Board. The Allied Substances Committee is established in accordance with Section 17 of the PMRA Act, No. 9 of 2019 to, among other functions, provide technical and scientific advice to the Authority on matters related to regulation of allied substances.
